Responsible lenders to be recognised in first ever FSF industry Awards
Stars of New Zealand’s responsible financial services sector will have a chance to shine this year at the Financial Services Federation’s Crediting Excellence Awards - the first awards of its kind in New Zealand.
Nominations are now open for the inaugural FSF Awards, which will take place following the FSF Conference on October 10, at a Gala Dinner sponsored by Equifax.
Criteria for all five awards focus on responsible lending, asking FSF member nominees/entrants to demonstrate how they have gone the extra mile in their dedication to responsible lending and working towards favourable outcomes for consumers.
Lyn McMorran, Executive Director of the FSF, which represents responsible, non-bank lenders, says the awards are an opportunity to celebrate responsible lending excellence.
“It’s often the way in the financial services sector that the bad eggs get all the attention, but there are many people in this sector who are doing a fantastic job providing suitable and responsible finance products to Kiwis all over New Zealand.
“We think it’s about time that the stars in responsible lending got recognised too, and we hope to do this with the FSF Crediting Excellence Awards.”
The Financial Services Federation is also very excited to be following-up its debut Conference 2017 with another affordable, full-day conference experience designed to make sure delegates stay ahead in the responsible financial services sector.
Included in the line-up are sector officials such as Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Hon Kris Faafoi, representatives from The Commerce Commission, and Anti-Money Laundering specialists. The programme also includes industry leaders sharing insight on fraud and motor vehicle industry disruptions, and keynote big names like Sir Gordon Tietjens whose experiences building successful teams can be translated directly to a corporate environment.
